Born in Norway and raised by the sea and the mountains above the polar circle, I spent my childhood instantly drawing and sewing. However, due to a fascination for mathematics and natural sciences, I ended up studying within these fields and eventually wrote a doctoral thesis in computer science. At that time, my daughters had grown up, and I realized there was something else for me to do. I had to draw. I had to paint. It was not my choice.
